Deep Section Aluminum Rims

Deep section rims are built from carbon fiber because aluminum rims of equivalent height would be very heavy and could not be rolled into a circle without wrinkling.

Wide and rounded is best. They re well made and come with excellent internals plus you can run them tubeless.

Some deep section wheels feature a carbon fairing placed over an aluminum rim. Choose wheels from 13 inch to 26 inch diameters select lightweight aluminum or high strength steel construction and complete the look with polished matte or chrome finishes. If you want to go deeper you are better off with the latest generation carbon. If you want the rim deep for aero you don t need to go that deep.

Generally deep section wheels offer significant aero drag benefits over traditional shallow rims so that a rider can go faster for the same effort or the same speed for less effort says.
