If the ac unit is not sealed correctly the moisture in the air coming in from outside gets condensed by the cold air inside the unit and this extra moisture builds up in ac unit and then leaks. If however your danby air conditioner is leaking water outside of the system or it is leaking coolant there are a few things you should consider. A clogged condensate drain line is the most common cause of water leaking from your ac into your home. Often water leaking is a result of water in the drain pipe building up instead of being dispersed by the condenser. These coils get hot because the refrigerant inside is being compressed by the condenser prior to entering the evaporative coils.

Check the defrost drain to determine if it is clogged or frozen. In order to prevent this simply add a tablespoon of bleach twice a year to the tray.
