Step 7 backfill around the pipes.
Cutting concrete slab for electrical conduit.
If you have installed any electrical conduit which does not require a pressure test tape the opening to the conduit closed with duct tape to prevent concrete from falling in.
In this video we are cutting concrete with a circular saw aka skil saw.
Instead finish the cut with a utility knife.
Make a second cut inch away and parallel to the first.
Use a chisel and hammer to remove the three scrap pieces.
Save the piece for later.
Set the diamond blade on the concrete wet saw to a depth of 4 1 2 inches and cut along both chalk lines.
It also allows future expansion of the electrical system by pulling additional wires through the conduit.
Ridged nonmetallic pvc conduit is the right material for this job because it is watertight inexpensive and easy to work with.
Installing conduit under or in concrete slabs protects the wires from the weight and corrosion of the cement.
